Ben & Jerry, Shut Up and Sell Ice Cream, Not Division

If you go to the BenJerry.com website, you’ll find a lie blaring across the page for July 4th. They called on the Biden administration to return “stolen indigenous land” as part of their divisive Fourth of July message. they also want to get rid of Mt. Rushmore and July 4th.

The company used social media to share its challenge, declaiming: “The United States was founded on stolen indigenous land. This Fourth of July, let’s commit to returning it.”

July 4 celebrations “distract from an essential truth about this nation’s birth,” the ice cream maker asserts. “The United States was founded on stolen Indigenous land. This Fourth of July, let’s commit to returning it.”

“Start with Mount Rushmore,” the company, headquartered in Burlington, Vt., says. “That is the meaning of Independence Day for those whose land this country stole, those who were murdered and forced with brutal violence onto reservations, those who were pushed from their holy places and denied their freedom.

Jerry Greenfield (l) and Ben Cohen

The faces on Mount Rushmore are the faces of men who actively worked to destroy Indigenous cultures and ways of life, to deny Indigenous people their basic rights,” the acrimonious invective concludes.

Comrade Ben and Comrade Jerry are following the Zinn version of U.S. history. Zinn was a communist who hated the USA and wrote a history text that reflected his hatred.

Almost everyone told the duo to give up all their land and holdings first. People are calling them the Bud Light of ice cream. I’d boycott them, except I already did that years ago.

NOooooooo! We Conquered it~

As Erick Erickson said, “Just so we’re all on the same page here, we did not “steal” land from the Indians. We conquered and captured it, and we’re all better off as a result of it. And, before we got here, they were killing each other and capturing each other’s land too.”

That’s true. We also bought a lot of the land.

  1. Never bought the stuff & don’t plan on it. Shame idiots make all this money from this country and citizens in this country and think want to tell us what to do.

  2. Long before “Go Woke, Go Broke,” became a thing, I stopped buying their ice cream. It’s long been no secret, Ben and Jerry are RADICAL left wing loons.
Same with Target, Best Buys, Walmart – been MANY years since I’ve given them a DIME of my money.

In ALL circumstances, have found there are BETTER ways, other ice creams better than B&J; I’ve SAVED $ by NOT shopping at Walmart; PC Richards 100+ yrs an AMERICAN company much preferred to Best Buys & their anti American CRAP.

  3. The left would boycott them if they took a conservative stand but will now reward them.

Is it fair, even if their ice cream was the greatest ever, for those of us who find the position reprehensible as well as one of the greatest forms of misinformation, to openly boycott their products as an economic form of punishment?

Is that denying they free speech?

Since it was on the company web site; a boycott is fair!

Shut up Ben and Jerry, just sell ice cream!

  4. I blame the sorry state of the country today on lazy conservatives who have done nothing but sit back and allow the left to steal our country. So many of us who don’t vote, don’t fight back against corrupt governments, local, county, city or Federal. Its sickening but laziness and stupidity has allowed the rise of degenerates and allowed our culture to be canceled. The left is so emboldened now, they think they can do whatever they want and in many cases, they can. Our true leader, Donald Trump is being persecuted to the point of possibly going to prison, and barely a whimper out of conservatives citizens who sit there and do nothing to support him.

    • This is an excellent analysis. It shows how brilliant lalasayswhat can be!!!
Leading a simple life of non-involvement is no longer possible for those who want to enjoy freedom.

What will you do? Will you get active?
Would you go door to door to influence people to vote wisely in 2024? Would you march for life, to stop the murder of innocents in the womb?
Would you invite others on a regular basis into your home to discuss ways to protect and build freedoms? All of these things friends of mine have done over the years and I have tried to follow their examples.

I have seen a few committed people make a huge difference.
