The rankings are in for Fox News, and the network certainly did underestimate the fallout from firing Tucker Carlson. They face a total collapse. Reportedly, Murdoch’s son Loughlin had to show him who the boss is. Well, we know who, it was Tucker. Tucker’s five roughly 10-minute monologues on Twitter have garnered more than 323 million views as of this evening.
Fox faces a total collapse. The Friday rankings are in, and Fox News Tonight is barely bringing in 100,00 in the 18-54 age group. Really shocking is Hannity falling behind Joy Reid.
Ingraham was in 24th place.
THE RANKINGS
The 8pm slot on Fox with Tucker was not only consistently number 1 in the key demo – 25-54 – but routinely had 400,000 viewers or more.
Without Tucker, it’s crashed to worse-than-MSNBC levels: barely 100,000 people.
Hannity is in 14th place, behind Joy Reid!
A total collapse. https://t.co/amcsLNIZMo

Greenwald tweeted, “It’s so clear Fox’s firing of Tucker was not just financially driven, bereft of the Murdochs’ and Paul Ryan’s ideological goals. Firing Tucker destroyed its prime-time ratings. There’s no argument Tucker’s twice-a-week Twitter postings compete with Fox. They want him silenced.”
Fox may want him silenced, but if they sue him, it will get a lot worse.
Fox is losing good people, and from what Alex McCaskill – the fired chyron producer – says the three leftist women left behind aren’t going to do anything for Fox.
Author Chadwick Moore, Tucker’s biographer, said, “My sources have now told me *NINE* former Tucker Carlson Tonight staffers have left Fox News to join Tucker on his next venture. There are others who are waiting to leave as soon as a role opens up for them with Tucker. Each of the 9 approached Tucker, not the other way around.”
Bret Baier received a fleeting increase with the Donald Trump interview, but it is fleeting.
That is good news.
Regardless of any anticipated estimate of losses, a top product line does not remove its top product without expecting major losses. A major negative effect was expected. So, the decision was totally wrong from the start.
Airhead Hannity has greatly angered conservatives with his RINO establishment act, he needed Tucker to precede him, otherwise people do not tune in. Ingraham is just as bad in doing her establishment performance. Both sacrificed principles and are no longer attractions. That would be funny to see Laura put back on radio and revert to her former honest self. I would not listen.
It is impossible that this spoiled brat leftist rich Murdoch boy and his 3 leftist women chiefs will do anything right for viewers.
Large companies and people like this (all of them) need to be taken down and the only way to do it is to vote with your feet/money – but you have to mean it. Punishing them won’t work they don’t understand because they have big egos. Our gov has allowed and used these companies/people to control us so now it is up to us to determine how we want to live. It will be painful but if done correctly and for good reasons it will turn out well.
Hannity and Ingraham used to be stars, but it seems that their egos got to large. Their shows became monologue, plus interviews or which was mostly more “star” monologue.” It got old and boring. (PS Hannity, all those emailed trying to sell me stuff was also a big turn off. You should of stopped at what you did well and not turned to get rich schemes. It demeaned your name and your value.
Behind Joy Reid. Hannity must be hiding in a dark room.
Ingraham 24th? Soon she will have a hard tie showing up for work.
One of my heroes and one of my heroines joining the dustbin of history.
Sad, but life moves on!
Hannity is being paid far too much to have such a bad show. Hannity and Ingraham now have what I call RINO gossip hours. I listened to Laura daily on her great radio show, now I would not give her the time of day. She morphed immediately when she joined Faux, and that makes her a chameleon.
With Tucker gone so goes the young audience. Faux chose leftist radicalism over honesty.
