Fox News Rearranges Hosts, Fires a Couple More

Roger Ailes’ wife said that Roger predicted Fox News would destroy themselves after they fired him. It seems that prediction might be coming true. As they move people around and push them out, Fox looks like they’re rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

They are dramatically changing their lineup, but they seem to be moving around hosts who still won’t get Tucker Carlson or Jesse Watters’s numbers.

Fox dropped Don Jr, Tucker, Lara Trump, Dan Bongino, Lisa Kennedy, and Steve Hilton.  In Kennedy’s spot, they’ll run Kudlow reruns. Before that, Megyn Kelly left, and Bill O’Reilly got the boot. Tucker was a good replacement for O’Reilly, but he’s gone.

They appear to be vindictive.

Early in May, Donald Trump Jr. said that Fox News is run by “leftist executives” who plan to “retaliate” against him for criticizing the network’s decision to fire conservative pundit Tucker Carlson.

Fox took Tucker off the air on April 24th without any notice. Don Jr. expressed his anger at the move.

He said an attack on Tucker is also “an attack on his fans and conservatives everywhere.”

Trump Jr. claimed in a tweet on Wednesday that his “friends at Fox News” told him his disapproval of Carlson’s departure had enraged the “leftists” and “RINOs,” or “Republicans in name only,” that supposedly run the network.

“Have heard from a few of my friends at Fox News that the leftist executives running things there are pissed at me for calling them out over firing Tucker and to ‘expect retaliation,'” Trump Jr. tweeted. “A lot of good people still work at Fox, but their RINO leadership is at war with conservatives!”

Fox News has declined dramatically since they took Tucker off the air.

According to reports from Mediaite, Nielsen ratings show that the network has seen a 37-percent year-over-year decline to 1.42 million during the primetime hours of 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

In May, MSNBC saw its ratings increase to 1.16 million primetime viewers, or a 14-percent gain year-over-year.

The clear No. 3 was CNN, which saw its primetime ratings shrink to 494,000 viewers last month. According to the reports, it represents a 25-percent year-over-year decline compared with May 2022.

Meanwhile, Fox averaged some 135,000 viewers in the coveted 25–54 age demographic that advertisers often target during the primetime hours, the analysis shows. That’s a 62-percent year-over-year decline. MSNBC had 120,000 demographic viewers, or a 14 percent increase year-over-year, while CNN saw a 25 percent drop to 113,000 viewers in that demographic.

In comparison, Fox News averaged some 2.09 million primetime viewers in the first quarter of 2023. Carlson was still at the network until April 24.

Fox keeps saying they’re still the #1 cable news channel overall.

The Five and Jesse Watters save Fox overall and keep them slightly afloat in the demo.  Still, the demo is so low that their future doesn’t look good as their older audience dies off.

  1. Fox is just the media version of Bud Light, as far as I’m concerned. I won’t go back to either. Why offer my business to people who hate me?

  2. The fall of Faux News will not have much effect on the rich leftists who run it. They are more interested in supporting illegal elections and getting Trump.

Lisa Kennedy was awful. She had erratic opinions, like a chameleon, some of which were MSNBC like, uninformed, and smeared Trump. She seemed to fit in well with Faux.

There was that greek gal who left a few years ago suddenly also.

My hunch is Faux is clearing out the people who were not totally in line with the firing of Tucker and the leftist initiatives. This cannot be to improve ratings because they have no bench and no hope after they removed their flagship show.

  3. Imagine being able to “tune in” every day to a channel that features Tucker Carlson, Glenn Beck, Jesse Watters, Steve Hilton, Jeanine Pirro, Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, Dan Bongino, Lisa Kennedy, etc. And they could pull in others like Tim Pool, Neil Oliver, and The Duran, too. There are so many excellent independents “out there” … the possibilities are mind-boggling. Such a lineup would blow the Lamestream to smithereens. They’d never know what hit’em.

Let’s get to it, guys! We’re waiting!

    • I do not want to imagine that. Beck is an erratic person who acted like a child in 2016 then reversed. He was totally wrong about Trump. That is not what I look to for information. I look for that as a carnival barker. Plus he has an intoxication problem which seems to recur. Lisa Kennedy is an immature uninformed trendy leftist type, she has nothing to offer. She made lots of cheap shots at conservatives.

That was not a star studded cast. All Faux had was a stifled Tucker.

OAN has a nighttime lineup superior to Faux at its best. It is far superior to what Faux had, minus the hype. All Faux has is the accessibility to the customer, which was taken from Faux by the government meddling. OAN does not have $20 million a year script readers, it has real journalists who are serious about the work.

      • I guess my list shows enough ignorance that I should have known better than to reel it off. The fact is, I don’t watch TV. Ever. At all. In fact, don’t even have one, and haven’t had one since 2009. Fourteen years of blissful silence in my house. I can actually hear the ticking of my clocks, and the singing of the birds out my windows.

Aside from obviously reading here, my sources for news and/or commentary are The Duran, Neil Oliver, ZeroHedge, Just The News, and The Epoch Times.

  5. The Left, Liberals, the WOKE destroy everything they touch because the are the human equivalent of Locust. America is not going to last much longer. The money manipulators are stealing everything they can. Don’t bother investing in Gold and Silver. Invest in Lead, that is probably the only thing that can save you and your family now. Anything the IRS can put it’s hands on they will be confiscating.

I expect the Internet will shut down next year and only “Approved” Over the Air Information will be allowed. I remember that in Cuba they had underground Internet. People traded video (movies), Email, local IP phone service, etc. People connected their house to their neighbors houses. It was technically an IntraNet on which they could communicate. Governments in Red States need to be looking at Community IntraNets like this so Communities can insulate themselves from NSA and other Alphabet Soup Agencies when the crash comes. Neighborhoods can create Meshed WiFi Networks, but advance encryption would be needed. House to house with Shielded Cat-6 or Fiber is better. Communication over Shielded Cable or Fiber is much harder to track then Walkie-Talkies and Radios. Good Community IntraNet Communication will become vital after the Collapse.

Mobile Pirate Radio Stations will also be needed as a source of real news. Everyone should have a Short-Wave Radio. After the Collapse, cell phones will be not only useless, but dangerous since they can track your every movement.

    • Yes the US is over except in name. All major institutions have betrayed us. The vice gets tighter each passing day, while that little corrupt coward Jordan writes letters. SW was great 20 years ago and may return. I enjoyed Radio Free America back then.

  6. Steve Hilton? Dumb move. Felt he perked up Sunday night with fearless commentary. Guess that was his downfall. Following Levin was a good slot for him.

  7. People are dumping cable TV and going for streaming television after realizing they’ve been ripped off for years by providers like Comcast.People also realize these cable news networks are a bunch of liars.

    • It’s all downhill for cable. But they will have a long term declining base.

Streaming takes an adjustment, and lacks the features, but overall, the cost and variety are superior. I’d rather have a separate TV network, as I had with satellite, for redundancy. But direct tv was too much, cut off OAN and was increasing prices in the midst of reduced viewers.
