Report Prigozhin Offered Ukraine Russian Troop Positions

The following report comes from The Washington post. On May 15 of this year, a Discord leak indicated that Yevegeniy Prigozhin told Ukraine’s military he would tell them where to attack Russian troops if they would pull their own forces back from Bakhmut where Wagner mercenaries were taking heavy losses.

In January, his mercenary forces were dying by the thousands in a fight that ruined the city of Bakhmut. That’s a allegedly when he made the offer.

Prigozhin was going to give Kyiv information on Russian troops positions, and Ukraine could in turn use them to attack Russian troops.

Allegedly Pergozhin conveyed the proposal to his contacts and Ukraine’s military intelligence, with whom he has maintained secret communications during the course of the war. This is the information  unreported by US intelligence, but leaked on the platform Discord.

Pergozhin’s public feud with Russian military commanders, who he claims failed to equip and re-supplies forces, is why he betrayed his country. He is or was an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Two Ukrainian sources confirmed the leak. Allegedly, Pergozhin has spoken several times to Ukrainian intelligence, known as HUR.

Ukraine’s President Zelensky would not confirm the contact,s saying “this is a matter of military intelligence.”

  1. Hmm. Hmm.

    Well. IF this proves to be true, then I harbor no doubt that Putin was aware of Prigozhin’s having done this, if not immediately, then only very shortly after it was done. And if THAT is so, then an extra helping of congratulations to Putin for not having exposed his knowledge of it having been done.

    Putin has, thus far, shown his trademark refusal to react with vehemence to the Prigozhin plot to … do whatever the heck it was he was doing last weekend. Putin consulted with Lukashenko, and extended the offer to Prigozhin to be exiled to Belarus, at the same time announcing the dropping of the charges of treason against him … without retracting the informal accusation of treason. Putin has not said that Prigozhin did not commit treason.

    (Aside: Imagine being a soldier in the regular Russian Army, and hearing that your Commander in Chief has only made angry speeches against the traitor, Prigozhin, and then merely sent him off to be exiled in Belarus? If I was such a soldier, I’d be thinking, “Say what?!? Prigozhin just totally gets away with this?”)

    Anyway, as treasonous (and deadly) as Prigozhin’s goofy march toward Moscow was, his offer to Kiev to betray Russian troops into the hands of Ukranian troops would be (if it happened), to me anyway, much worse. But if it did happen, and if Putin has known about it for some time, it may explain why he has, thus far, shown a benign lenience toward Prigozhin in sending him to Lukashenko. He could indeed afford to, having this “other card up his sleeve.” Because there is no doubt, if further charges now, by Putin, stemming from Prigozhin’s proffered information to Zelenskyy, are brought against Prigozhin, Lukashenko will unhesitatingly extradite him back to Russia for trial.

    Pure speculation on my part. Just … thinking out loud.

  2. I don’t believe any pro Ukrainian news coming from the US. Nothing but seeds to sow division in Russia. The US leaders are nervous because they are not winning this war and won’t win in the end. Another failed war effort on the US part. Just wait until the half trillion bill is presented to American taxpayers to rebuild Ukraine. That should be interesting.

  3. It is entertaining.

    WP = CIA

    Look at the stories they concoct. Their record is awful.

    Russia has won the war. It is being extended by corrupt DC, by stealing our money.
